Digital Storytelling

Digital stories use digital tools to communicate the stories you want to tell. We help you identify the right digital tools to share your story. Our team can assist with concept development, workflow development, and outreach strategy.

  • Designing Content: Choosing and using digital tools to tell compelling stories. (Digital exhibits, walking tours, podcasts, websites, newsletters) 

  • Telling Process Stories: (how a client moves through your programming, how grantees can apply for funding, how your incubator or fellowship program works)

  • Reaching your Audiences: Strategic Communications (Audit your digital presence, Workshop brand identity, and suggest revisions/new digital content)

Community Engagement

  • Digital Communications Audit: Review of your current digital presence including website and social media, identification of audiences and core stories, and advice for audience engagement.

  • Brand Identity: Identify who you are and what makes your brand unique through internal branding (audit your core values, mission and vision statements, company culture), external branding (Consider what your external stakeholders see, including your logo, brand colors and typography suite, design assets, social media), and user experience (inspect your customer service processes, user support, and physical and digital user experiences)

  • Community Engagement and Outreach: Map your stakeholders and make an outreach plan, design digital touchpoints and in-person events for engagement, develop feedback loops to collect, use, and share back community input to improve your project

Project Management

  • For grant-funded projects (Mellon-funded grants, NEH grant projects, etc.): Clarify project goals, build a team, assign roles, and design internal communications workflows, build a database and infrastructure for project files, design a custom project timeline to scaffold project work and achieve goals.

  • For creative projects: develop your idea for your book, podcast, commemoration project, public-facing video project, etc.
